Rock of Love – Season 1 Recap

My name is Turk182 and this is Reality TV Guide, where we came to make everyone feel better about themselves. Seeing that it’s day 5 of VH1 Month, I think it’s fair to talk about Bret Michaels. It’s a shame because I barely discuss him a lot on here. In a way, he’s like Johnny Bananas. For every good reality show he’s done, he’s also done a bad reality show. Yet he’s a very good guy, so perhaps I should try to love a show and pretend to say that it rocks. Try to love a show. Pretend to say that it rocks. Rock of Love!

VH1 is a channel that loves both Reality TV and music. They also have a sweet tooth for nostalgia, especially rock music from the 1980s. So they combined all their favorite pleasures in a blender, along with Poison lead singer Bret Michaels, and came up with a new spinoff in their celebrity dating show canon titled Rock of Love. Is it any same or different as the other two shows we’ve already covered? Well, strap yourself in or I’ll Unskinny Bop you in the face! This is Rock of Love, Season 1!

The first episode starts out with Bret Michaels riding on a motorcycle, sharing his story. Poison has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and toured all over for the past 20 to 30 years. For Bret, it gave him access to many parties and very steamy hookups. But with his career taking up to 9 months of his schedule, he’s never been able to establish a substantial, long-term relationship.
