Howard Schultz, Reality TV Producer, Dies at 61

It has come to our attention that Howard Schultz, a very huge Reality TV producer, has mysteriously passed away. He was on vacation with his family in Maui when he died Monday of an unknown cause.  Howard Schultz was the CEO of Lighthearted Entertainment, a television production company that is responsible for shows such as Extreme Makeover, Dating NakedAre You The One?The Moment of Truth, and Bye, Felicia! May he rest in peace.

SLEDNECKS CANCELLED

So, the news broke over Twitter last night that MTV’s Slednecks, which ranked at #5 on our Top 10 Worst Reality Shows of 2014 list, was not renewed for a second season. Apparently, Americans easily realized that it was a rip-off of Buckwild. The show premiered on October 30th, and its lone season consisted of 18 episodes, with the finale airing two weeks ago. Reality TV Guide wasn’t the only site that came down hard on Slednecks. The Guardian referred to it as “Jersey Shore on ice”, Washington Post called out MTV for learning nothing after Buckwild, Common Sense Media said that it “sends a distorted message about what people who live in Alaska are like and the activities they routinely engage in”, and NY Daily News said it offered “too many forced TV dramas that are lukewarm at any temperature.” While MTV has yet to comment, the cast of Slednecks posted tweets on the cancellation.

Fans are already creating petitions to save Slednecks, and some have even suggested that it moves to another network. Sorry, but CMT already has a Party Down South.

TOP 10 SEASONS OF THE REAL WORLD

This is the true story… of seven strangers… picked to live in a house…work together and have their lives taped… to find out what happens… when people stop being polite… and start getting real…The Real World.

In 1992, MTV debuted a show called The Real World. It was considered one of the most ground-breaking shows of our time. It took a handful of Generation X Americans and documented their time together in a house as it happened. The experiment introduced the struggles with social and personal views into many of our consciences. Though not the first Reality show ever, it gave birth to the Reality TV trend. Taken away from us too early, it was a special show that changed the way many people judge each other. If it was with us today, it would be doing what it did before: opening up the topics of anything that we’ve been afraid to touch and providing positive experiences to people all over-

OH, FUCK YOU, MTV! THAT SHOW’S STILL ON THE AIR?

The Real World is nothing like it is nowadays! All these people want to do on there is have sex, drink beer, get in fights and appear on TV! I could go on and on about how it’s beating up a dead horse, but saying that would be an insult to horses. When are we going to get rid of this show so we can talk about what it did right instead of what it did wrong?

Putting that aside, we are going to give it credit for staying on the air for over 20 years and producing 30 seasons, as well as starting the Reality TV trend. Plus, when you go back to its prime years, those seasons are strong enough to rival Seinfeld, The Sopranos, and Breaking Bad. So in honor of its 30th season, The Real World: Skeletons, we’re counting down the top 10 seasons of this Reality TV pioneer. What do you say? Let’s get started!

House of Carters – Series Recap

Screen Shot 2014-12-21 at 12.48.01 PM

Ah, the Backstreet Boys. For over 20 years, they’ve sold a load of albums, topped so many charts, and performed all over the world. They are the biggest boy band in the history of music, and girls everywhere couldn’t get enough of Nick Carter. This past year, he appeared in his own reality show on VH1 titled I Heart Nick Carter, which documented his trip to the altar with his bride, Lauren Kitt. The idea of Nick Carter doing a reality show was something I’ve wanted to see. I’m surprised he hadn’t done one earlier… NO, NOT HOUSE OF CARTERS!

HELP US ALL!!!!

So yeah, in 2006, Nick Carter starred in another reality show titled House of Carters. And since it aired on E!, you can consider it the prototype for Keeping Up With the Kardashians. In this show, Nick gathered all his siblings into one house and try to repair old wounds. Not only did he fail miserably, but he took the house down with him. So let’s see why Nick Carter should’ve quit playing games with his family. This is House of Carters.

The Challenge: Battle of the Exes 2 – TRAILER

Here you go, guys. The first trailer for The Challenge: Battle of the Exes 2 premiered last night after the season premiere of The Real World: Skeletons. This is the 26th season of The Challenge, and it will be significant for having posthumous appearances from 2 cast members: Diem Brown and Ryan Knight. Both of them passed away last month after production wrapped on the season. Battle of the Exes 2 premieres on January 6th, and we’ll definitely be covering it. Of course, we’ll be up to our old jokes during the recaps. IT HAS JOHNNY BANANAS AND 4 CAST MEMBERS FROM ARE YOU THE ONE? ON THERE. WE CAN’T AVOID THAT! But we’ll dedicate the first recap in Diem and Knight’s memories.

Road Rules: Viewer’s Revenge – Season Recap

XTRA MAN: I’m serious, Turk! Do you honestly think that there’s any point to reviving a concept that nobody asked to see make a comeback?

TURK182: Fine. I won’t reboot Save Our Villains. Let’s talk about Road Rules: Viewer’s Revenge, instead.

Aired in 2007 after a 3-year drought, Road Rules unveiled its 14th season in an attempt to reignite the good ol’ days and forgot to put in the “good”.
