My name is Turk182 and this is Reality TV Guide, where we came to make everyone feel better about themselves.

As much as it pains me to witness old-time Challenge contestants realize that they have worn out their welcome, Tim Beggy’s final season was easily his worst performance. And it was so evident that his career was over that at the time I originally recapped this season, I had a hard time pointing why he was so great of a player to begin with. Then again, his previous Challenge ended in the most embarrassing fashion I’ve ever seen. In the season finale of Gauntlet 2, he won the final Gauntlet elimination, but as a result, he eliminated male Veteran captain Derrick. Throughout the season, Derrick showed the best physical performance in the captain position. His fighting spirit was remarkable and his efforts were outstanding. Timmy not only took out the one thing that was keeping the Veterans alive, but he had to take over a vacant captain position just one day before the final challenge, and his idea of betting all the team’s chips on the eating portion ended in disaster.

Sadly, his career never recovered. On Inferno 3, he was disqualified in the second challenge after falling from a ladder. The fall ended up giving him a painful calf injury that hindered his ability to compete. On episode 6, he and two other Good Guys teammates refused to participate in a Speedo-wearing challenge, and it cost them $10,000. On episode 8, he lost the challenge for the Good Guys after falling from the last platform, sending his team back to the start. On episode 9, his calf injury came back to haunt him in the challenge, and he was sent to the Inferno.

He would do one thing right on Inferno 3. In his farewell speech, he announced his retirement. While his career didn’t have the best ending, he retired with his dignity in tact. We can reflect at his legacy now and view him as a comic relief, a positive influence, a competitor that did do the right things, and a respected Challenge all-star that retired at the right time.

6. CT PUNCHES DAVIS

On our Top 10 Worst Reality Shows of 2014, I mentioned that there was a time when it was absolutely necessary to hate CT. This was what I was referring to. But if you were to tell me 8 years ago today that CT was going to experience a renaissance later on in his career and that he would eventually win a Challenge, I would’ve laughed in your face obnoxiously.

CT was coming off a tantrum-filled elimination at the end of The Duel

5. DERRICK REPLACES CT

4. SUSIE AND CARA NOT WINNING THE FINAL CHALLENGE

3. JOHNNY, KENNY, PAULA AND JENN

Screen Shot 2014-12-28 at 3.58.58 PM

These future Challenge All-Stars were all in their rookie stages when they appeared on Inferno 3.

Besides, he wasn’t referring to every girl on his team. They wanted Paula with them in the finals. They can put up with Susie’s false persona. But they were never going to survive with Cara. Her and Susie’s alliance was too poisonous.

On Inferno 3, Johnny never voiced his criticism over a female competitor for all the wrong reasons or out of personal hatred, like… SOME OTHER FUCKASS ON FREE AGENTS. It’s definitely sad to think about Johnny Bananas now considering how much I enjoyed him here, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy him every time I rewatch this season. Heck, if it’s looked at the right way, his performance on here becomes even more original and special in comparison to his sterile, corrupted appearances in later seasons. You can even say that about those other people I talked about here. I can even say that about all the seasons right now, but that’s another editorial.

2. THE GOOD GUYS VS. BAD ASSES

1. IT’S A VERY ENJOYABLE, STRESS-FREE, UNDERRATED SEASON
