Reality TV has given us so many great memories.
Most of the time, but the one thing that is certain is that it always gives us a lot of laughs, both good and bad. So today, we plan to recognize the funniest moments. Whether they meant to be funny or not.
On a reality dating show, your main goal is to keep your focus on the person you’re pursuing for love. Whenever some other suitor gets in the way and shifts your focus, the one thing you shouldn’t do is attack that person. Buddha let a fellow competitor get the best of him and got thrown off I Love New York 2 for physical violence. Seven and a half years later, Buddha is getting slapped back by Reality TV Guide with an induction into the Loser’s Circle.

TURK182: Last season, Tiffany “New York” Pollard, a two-time contestant on Flavor of Love, brought 20 guys to the 51 Minds set and narrowed the field down to 1. Sadly, even though she did choose a winner, she never found a person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, because as she discovered, season 1 winner Tango wasn’t that into her. It was sad for New York, but it was great news for VH1, as they get to use her in another dumbass show.
XTRA MAN: Thus, I Love New York was renewed for a second season.

We’re not recapping Flavor of Love 3. We’re recapping the Flavor of Love spinoff, I Love New York.
Tiffany Pollard, a.k.a. New York, was a two-time contestant on Flavor of Love. She got into fights with fellow women, she cursed everyone out, she gave Flavor Flav the nastiest tongue baths on the face of the Earth, and she was scary. Annoyingly scary. On the first season, she did all of that, and all it got her was the first runner-up position. On the second season, it was lather, rinse, repeat.

30 years ago today, the cable channel VH1 was launched. It was a sister channel to MTV, and it too was a music video oriented channel. Today, VH1 continues to air music videos to a degree, and it still maintains its focus on music, but it has expanded to new horizons. And it gave us a shitload of reality shows to mock! So, for every day in January, we’re doing recaps of current and classic shows VH1 has given us over the years. Let’s kick off VH1 Month right now with Flavor of Love!
Oh, Flavor Flav. How did you ever stoop this low? You were in Public Enemy, and now you’re in this! This kind of dating show makes The Bachelor franchise feel better about themselves. So, lean a little closer and see that roses really smell like poo-poo.
